like the subject says, dont hurt your head.. ;D
it can be for their lyrics, or voice, whatever...
id have to go with phil collins for his writin ability mainly, he writes about shit that appeals to everyone in one way or another, and shit that needs to be heard but people dont wanna hear it, like another day in paradise for example.. cant deny the man, achieved more shit in his life-time than most would in two.. how about yall? and dont start a cyber-war on other peoples opinions, thats annoyin..NON hip-hop artists only..

I used to like radiohead, back when they had three albums the bends, pablo honey and ok computer i think they had iron lung released as a kinda compliation album too.. anyways the last song on the bends in really nice, kinda depressing though, its called Street Spirit (Fade Out) you should peep it! lost interest in radiohead big time, their new shit is so wack

Con- "Sell Out" doesn't equal "bad" unless you're violently moral and anti-materialistic
Anyway, my favourite non hip hop artist is a group- Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. I only own the Murder Ballads album but it's truly brilliant...thought provoking, some shit you have to actually have to listen to to understand, without being overrun by metaphors. The only problem with the album is "Henry Lee" and the closing cover track is kind of weak. I'm gonna check out more of their albums once I get some source of revenue(cash)
